I seriously can not believe that it is already August 1! This summer has flown by and even with everything that has gone wrong, it has still been a pretty fun summer. I have learned a lot this summer about myself, about life, and about who I can and can't count on. I have really grown as a person and I am proud of myself, and I don't say that too often. Going through this tough time has helped me to see what is really important in life. So, I wasn't going to say this but I might as well. I was without electricity for 2 months. And yes that means no computer, no refrigerator, and most importantly no fans or air conditioning, lol. It was very hard and there were times when I didn't know if I was going to make it mentally and emotionally. The stress took a lot out of me and my family. There were some major arguments, tears, and sweat (literally), but I think it made us stronger as a family. Even through all of that we still tried to enjoy our summer as much as we could. We played board games, went out to parks and took a lot of walks, and just tried to stay positive and in my opinion it worked. We realized that things like t.v. and Internet had taken over our lives, and at first we thought we couldn't live without them. Well we were wrong, and we really came together as a family during this tough time. I am so proud of my family and how strong we are. Now that we have made it through this we are using our electronics much less and its made us so much happier. Now, on a lighter note today's Photo A Day photo is outside and because it is very gray and gloomy where I am today I have decided to use a photo of a place that I wish I was right now, lol. For those reading this, please follow me I am trying to build some followers. Thanks.

My Kryptonite
As most super heroes do, I too have a weakness, or kryptonite if you will. Sour candy!!! I have been obsessed with sour candy since I was a kid and it has only gotten worse over the years. About 5 years ago I watched Lord Of The Rings for the first time, and as anyone who has seen this trilogy knows, it goes on for hours and hours. So there I was in my room watching Lord Of The Rings from dawn til dusk and during those hours I was eating SweeTarts. Now knowing that I would be trying to accomplish this marathon known as the trilogy I went to the dollar store to stock up on snacks, more importantly SweeTarts. Anyway once the trilogy was done I realized that I had eaten 3 movie size boxes of SweeTarts, other than a major sugar rush it should have been no big deal, oh but it was a big deal. I woke up the next morning and my lips were swollen shut. I was in so much pain that I went to my doctor, which I rarely do. After my doc examined me, he told me that I caught a moderate allergic reaction, and that if I would have eaten any more SweeTarts my throat probably would have swelled next. I was terrified! I thought to myself I will never touch SweeTarts or any other sour candy ever again. He prescribed me some strong Benadryl and sent me on my way after a stern talking to. Well this brings me to today's Photo of the Day, it is snacks. And the snack that I have been eating would not please my doctor, but it sure pleases me :)
So to all those sour candy freaks out there just know that you are not alone. Also know that I would love to get together and have a sour candy swapping party ;) Have a great day everyone and TGIAF (thank goodness it's almost Friday)!

Brainiac
The subject of today's Photo of the Day is what are you reading. Now I read a lot, I love books and I love reading. So I am embarrassed to say that at the moment I am reading Seventeen magazines May issue. I'm not embarrassed that I'm reading Seventeen, I just wish that I was reading something a little more intellectually stimulating, lol. In other news I went to Walmart today and just happened to *wink wink* get on the line of a very cute cashier. Greetings were exchanged but alas I left without saying much else. I really hate when I do that, I see a cute guy and don't have the courage to tell him that he is cute. I am usually very outgoing but just like every other girl out there I do feel insecure sometimes, OK most times :) Well that's about all my day consisted of today. Happy Hump Day everyone.

Terrible Tuesday
Today's weather is just plain yucky! It poured this morning and now it is muggy. Oh well! I had an interview yesterday and I think it went pretty well, but I am not too thrilled about the center. However, if I am offered the job I will most likely take it because I don't have any other options right now. I've been a little down in the dumps lately, personal problems and financial problems, what else is new right? Yesterday's photo of the day was grass and today's photo is love. Now I thought that finding a photo that conveyed love would be hard, but I found the perfect quote that really conveys what love is all about.

| LOVE |
To quote one of my favorite songs Endlessly by The Cab: I'm not perfect, but I swear I'm perfect for you. Love comes in all shapes and sizes and no one is perfect, but we can all strive to be perfect versions of ourselves.

Happy Monday!
Well the weekend is over and I am now sad, lol. Mother's Day was great, we grilled up some good food for my mom and put on a really good show for her. We each performed 3 of her favorite songs and then we tackled Bohemian Rhapsody together, lol. It was so much fun and it is a tradition that we like to keep going for my mom. I missed the past two photo's of the day, but do not fret, here they are. Saturday's Photo of the Day is something that makes you happy and Sunday's Photo of the Day is mum.
Music can turn my mood around no matter what is going on in my life because music is my life. I cannot go one day without listening to some sort of music. My mom began my love of music by playing the classics when I was growing up and I will always be thankful that she did that. I love music because my mom always played music in our home while she was cooking, cleaning, or just relaxing with us. Unlike most 90's kids I knew what records were and knew how to work a record player, lol. Music and family are the two things that make me smile when I think about my childhood. Happy Monday everyone I have an interview today so wish me luck!

Whenever I Want You All I Have To Do Is Dream
I dream all the time, who doesn't. I dream about all types of things such as my future home, career, and family. I also dream about happiness and love. My dream is to live happily ever after, which is how I came up with the title of this blog. Now I do not think that my happily ever after will be anything like a Disney movie, that to me is not happily ever after. My happily ever after is falling in love with an amazing guy and living in my dream house. Now, my dream house is not huge, but one thing that it must have is a big kitchen. I love to cook and bake so having a big kitchen is important to me. Whenever my family would get together we would always end up in the kitchen talking and laughing, to me the kitchen is the heart of the home. So today's Photo of the Day is kitchen and here is what I envision my dream kitchen looking like.
TGIF!!!! I hope that everyone has a great weekend and celebrates the mom or mother figure in their lives! P.S. if anyone out there reads this blog I would greatly appreciate it if you would follow it. Thank you in advance!

God Is Good!
Now my family and I have been going through some really rough times and it's times like these where we take time to re-evaluate what's important in life. There are four people that I love more than anything in this world my mom, my sister, my brother, and God. Now as I mentioned in my post yesterday I am not deeply religious, but I do believe in God and I do believe that he is good, hence the title of this post :) Today's Photo of the Day is your favorite word. I love words, I think that they are the second best form of expression, next to actions of course. I chose the word strength because it means so much to me. I am not physically strong by any means but I do think that I am incredibly strong mentally and I am very proud of that. I can be a very quiet person at times and people may think that I am shy, but I am really just taking everything in before I speak because I want my words to mean something. So here it is strength, with a wonderful quote by none other than Mahatma Ghandi.

Eight Days A Week
Now, I know that there are only seven days a week, but let's face it most of us need an extra day to do all of the things we have to do. And it's one of my favorite Beatles songs ;) Well today's Photo of the Day is something you do everyday. I do pretty much the same things everyday, which is really sad, I know. Now the things I do are by no means exciting, but there is something that I do everyday that I look forward to and that is praying. For those of you who don't know me I do not go to church and am not deeply religious, but I do pray every single day and thank God for everything he has blessed me with. Having a daily conversation with someone who doesn't judge you and loves you for who you are is really nice, and it is comforting which is why I make sure that I have that conversation with God everyday.

Sunday is Mother's Day and I am excited to celebrate my mom and everything that she does for me. My mom does not believe in Mother's Day because she says that everyday is Mother's Day and she is absolutely right. I tell my mom I love her multiple times a day because I just can't help it. I would be lost with out her, she is my everything. Even though she doesn't believe in Mother's Day my siblings and I will still be putting on our annual Mother's Day show. The show will consist of us singing some of my mom's favorite songs to her, for her entertainment of course, lol. Then I am planning on having a BBQ for her. I hope that everyone has a great mom or mother figure in their life and I hope that you tell her you love her everyday because she deserves to hear it!

Knock On Wood
So, today's Photo of the Day is a smell you adore. I adore all types of smells such as fresh cut grass, freshly brewed coffee, and flowers. But there is one smell that I can smell all day everyday and never get tired of it. One smell that makes me stop in my tracks and just savor it. That smell is the smell of charcoal burning in a grill! I cannot get enough of that smell, one of the best things about summer is getting the grill going with good old fashioned charcoal.

Inspiration
Today's Photo of the Day is someone who inspires you, so I chose my mom. My mom means everything to me and I don't know where I would be without her. She inspires me to be a better person, she inspires me to be happy, and she inspires me never to give up. We have not had the easiest life, but my mom always found a way to make things fun even when we didn't have much. She works hard everyday to provide for us and all I want to do is be able to one day provide for her. My mom has inspired me to follow in her footsteps and work with children, and I hope that one day I can be half the mom that she is. She has played the role of mom and dad my entire life which is why we dedicate mother's and father's day to her. I love you mom, and thank you.

Old At Heart
I really do consider myself an old soul. When I was 4 years old I made a music video to Smokey Robinson's Tracks of My Tears, lol. Other than the few current bands that I listen to the majority of my music comes from the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's. I love the fact that music from these decades does not discuss bumping and grinding and other obscene language. You can really dance to this music not just rub up against someone. My childhood consisted of watching I Love Lucy and listening to Marvin Gaye and The Temptations, and I loved it. I thank my mom everyday for introducing me to classic music and T.V. Now on to my Photo Of The Day for May 2, the topic was skyline and I know that I said I would post a photo of my icky rainy skyline, but I decided to post a photo of the skyline I hope to be looking at within the next four years.
